Recreation Unlimited is an adaptive ski program at Bogus Basin for children and Adults with disabilities. The program offers lessons for a range of ability levels from first time skiers to the intermediate and advanced skiers.

Ride for Joy offers a therapeutic riding program. They offer once a week classes with four different sessions a year. The goal of the program is to help the child to be able to ride independently by the end of the program. Also, they work on communication and social skills during the classes.

YMCA provides adaptive swimming classes, including one-one private classes for special needs children, and they provide an adaptive rock climbing program. In addition, the YMCA allows any adult or therapist to accompany a child with autism or special needs in any youth program that is offered at the YMCA.

Boise Parks & Recreation’s Adaptive Recreation Services provides a wide range of camps, classes, social and recreational programs for children and adults with disabilities. We offer cooking classes, art classes, dance classes, day camps, train rides, camping trips and more! We also offer inclusion services in which accommodations may be provided (at no cost) so that an individual with a disability can fully participate in any of Boise Parks & Recreation’s programs. Accommodations may include sign language interpreters, enhanced staff, etc.
